Skin becomes oily because of several reasons. One reason could be heredity; one or both of your parents are also suffering from oily skin. Another reason could be diet. Proper diet is needed to maintain a healthy skin, if you’re diet is a bit extreme or if it’s not done appropriately, then that could be another cause for oily skin. Pregnancy and birth control pills can also be the cause due to hormonal changes in your body. If you’re using cosmetics that are oil-based, then that could add up too. Humidity and hot climate could also trigger excess oil to produce.

You can have oily skin at any age, but it is more common during teenage years are hormones change to adolescence. Some people claim they have oily skin but only on specific areas of their face; that’s possible. There are combinations of skin types like normal and oily, dry and normal, etc. If you want to maintain your skin’s healthy glow, there are cures for oily skin available in beauty stores.

There are cures for oily skin that can be done without applying medicines, these cure can somehow avoid the production of excess oil on your face. Wash your face using hot water and soap. Hot water opens up the pores so that clog pores can be cleaned and bacteria that are developing inside can be eliminated. When using a moisturizer, consider using an oil-free moisturizer because if your face is oily, you won’t need oily products on your face. Avoid using harsh soaps on your face for they might not do well on your skin.
