Things You Should Know – Cures for Oily Skin

Most people have problems with oily skin because it is more prone to blemishes, blackhead and acne. You can choose from a wide range of cures for oily skin in the market today, making it difficult to choose the right product for your oily skin.

Cures for oily skin are simple. However, skin care for oily skin must be in a regular basis. Here are some effective cures for oily skin:

1. Wash your face gently using a mild cleanser two times a day. It is recommended to use a natural product. Make sure to check if the product has no harsh ingredients to avoid skin irritation. Limit face cleansing every morning and every night.

2. Apply toner or astringent after cleansing. Toner helps to tighten the pores and make the skin smooth. Reapply toner or astringent during the day if possible.

3. Use clay mask or mud pack for treating your oily skin. Most spas and exclusive salons offer this service. Clay mask helps absorb oil from the pores. Using clay mask can make your skin radiant and clear.

4. It is necessary to exfoliate once or two times a week. Exfoliation helps eliminate dead skin cells as well as balance the oil production of the skin. It also manages to tighten the pores. Make sure to choose a mild exfoliation product. Remember that scrubbing your face may result to irritation of the skin.

5. If necessary, choose an oil-free moisturizer. Most oily skin does not need to be moisturized but remember that moisture and oil are different. Some people may have oily skin but may lack moisture, especially when the skin ages. If needed, apply moisturizer to the areas that are usually dry such as neck and cheeks.
